  • It is with great pleasure that I write to inform you that Newsweek has named Nuview Bridge Early College High School one of America's Top 500 High Schools. In that absolute ranking schools were analyzed through the EdFacts and Common Core Data databases provided by the National Center for Education Statistics on six indicators; college enrollment, graduation rate, weighted AP/IB/dual enrollment, weighted SAT/ACT composite scores, student retention, and counselor to student ratio. On this list NBECHS is ranked # 466 nationally and #52 in California. It should be noted that there are over 22,000 high schools in the US and 4495 in the state of California.

NBECHS was also honored by Newsweek as one of the US's Top 500 High Schools "Beating the Odds". I personally am more proud of this ranking because it shows that our school is meeting its original mandate of serving student populations under-represented in college. This list takes into account student poverty rates and includes only schools whose students from socio-economically disadvantaged families perform at rates 0.5 standard deviations or above the state average. On this listing NBECHS is ranked # 69 nationally and 8th in the state of California.

Welcome to NBECHS!

Located behind Lake Perris in Nuevo, NBECHS is proud to be a free, public, early college, charter high school in the Nuview Union School District serving 9th-12th grade students.  During their four years at our school, students who qualify have the opportunity to earn 24 to 60+ transferable college units, while earning their high school diplomas. Upon graduation, the majority of Bridge students pursue their post high school education by either continuing at MVC to complete their college transfer requirements or by going directly into a four-year university, bringing their community college units with them and placing themselves well into their freshman and sophomore years at the college level.  Although some fees do apply, there are no college tuition costs to students or their families while attending NBECHS as a high school student.
