Welcome to 7th Grade Social Studies 
Throughout the school year we will be covering the major civilizations of the Middle Ages throughout Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Americas. We have a total of 11 units that include lectures, readings, discussions, projects, and unit tests. This class can become a great learning experience that will prepare students to have a better understanding of the ancient world and how it connects with the world they live in today.
Office Hours
My office hours are from 2:10 to 3:00, Mondays and Thursdays. I encourage all my students to make an oppointment with me if they are having problems with their classwork or homework. I also encourage parents/guardians to contact me if they have any questions or concerns.
Parent-Teacher Communication
I will send home with each student a progress reports every two to three weeks. These reports will need to be returned with a parent/guardian signature within a few days after the students receive them. It is the responsibility of the students and the parents to establish a plan on communicating these progress reports with each other. This will be a great way for us to communicate with each other on the student's progress in class. Please keep an eye on these reports, as they will become a great tool for students and parents to monitor the student's grade in class.
Any additional reports will be gladly sent home, within a reasonable time, upon a parent’s written request. These additional reports will need to be picked up by the student during lunch or after school.
