H1N1- "Swine Flu" update
Riverside Public Health Department reports, "H1N1 influenza activity continues to spread throughout our county". There have been many children sick with "flu-like illness" that is most likely caused by H1N1 virus. Symptoms of the flu are fever, cough, body aches, chills, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, headaches, fatigue and sometimes diarrhea and vomiting. If you get sick with flu-like symptoms, consult your health care provider. In addition, you should stay home and avoid contact with other people except to get medical care. Most people with H1N1 flu have had mild illness and have not needed medical care or antiviral durgs and the same is true for seasonal flu. For more information view "H1N1 flu and you".
